• PKM-2 is an improvement over PKM-1. 
• PKM-2 has more lateral branching (desirable for more leaf production within hands reach) and a seedpod with more flesh than seeds.
• Production up to 98 tonnes per hectare. 
• Long pods of 125-130cm & 8.4cm thick – average weight 280gm. 
• Fleshy pods with good cooking quality, and non-bitter. When cooking, the flesh turns soft and delicious with less fibre – long shelf-life.
• Flowering starts after 8 eight months! Blossoms are creamy white and are considered a delicacy in many parts of the world. 
• More tolerant of drought, producing leaves even when water is scarce – suits many different climates. 
• Slender drooping branches are adorned with pale-green soft foliage. 
• The bark is grey brown, making it a perfect specimen for Bonsai, container growing, as well as a tropical houseplant.
• Grown for its heavy biomass and tender leaves.
